Why doesn't the PianoRemote app connect with my Kawai piano?
Check Bluetooth is enabled, restart both devices, unpair and re-pair, and ensure both the app and firmware are up to date.
If PianoRemote is unable to connect to your piano, try the following steps: Ensure your piano model is compatible with PianoRemote (typically models launched since 2020). Confirm that Bluetooth is enabled on both your piano and your device.
Restart both your device and the piano. In your device's Bluetooth settings, forget the piano and re-pair it. Ensure the PianoRemote app and your piano's firmware are both updated to the latest versions.
Verify that Bluetooth MIDI permissions are enabled for the PianoRemote app in your device's Settings > Apps > PianoRemote > Permissions (especially on Android 13 and later). If the issue persists, contact your Kawai dealer or Kawai support.
