What is the difference between a full warranty and a limited warranty?
A full warranty guarantees repair or replacement and is transferable to new owners. A limited warranty places restrictions on the manufacturer's liability and is generally not transferable.
A Full Warranty guarantees that the manufacturer will stand behind the product, even to the point of full replacement if a problem cannot be corrected. By definition, a full warranty is transferable from one owner to the next — meaning the warranty remains in effect for the full period regardless of owner, enhancing the piano's resale value.
A Limited Warranty places limits on the manufacturer's legal responsibility to repair defects and is generally not transferable. Kawai's acoustic piano warranty is a Full Warranty, not a limited warranty.
