What firmware updates are available for Kawai MP professional stage pianos?
Updates are available for MP4 through MP11, plus MP9500 and MP9000. The MP9500/MP9000 updates carry risk of Flash-ROM damage if transmission fails.

MP9500 and MP9000: These OS updates are performed by playing an SMF file containing SYSEX via MIDI or USB. IMPORTANT: If the data is not correctly transmitted, there is a risk of damaging the Flash-ROM, requiring PCB board replacement at your cost. Not all sequencing hardware/software can transmit SYSEX correctly. Proceed at your own risk and read all instructions carefully.
