My Kawai piano turns itself off after a period of inactivity — what should I do?
This is the Auto Power Off feature. You can adjust or disable it in the settings menu. Check your manual for the exact steps.
Kawai digital and hybrid pianos incorporate an Auto Power Off feature that can turn off the instrument automatically after a specified period of inactivity. In some regions, this function is enabled and set to 15 minutes before an instrument is shipped, to comply with local energy conservation regulations.
To change the Auto Power Off setting, refer to the owner's manual included with your piano for model-specific instructions. The setting can typically be changed to Off, 30, 60, or 120 minutes, though disabling it will increase power consumption.
Note: If your piano is connected to a device via Bluetooth MIDI or Bluetooth Audio, the Auto Power Off setting is still observed. If you wish to stream audio for extended periods, consider disabling Auto Power Off to prevent the instrument from turning off automatically.
