In May 2025, he completed his Master of Fine Arts in Music Composition for the Screen at Columbia College Chicago. Over the past few years, he has scored short films and is eager to expand his experience, immersing himself in the Hollywood industry and collaborating with talented professionals to grow as a composer. He also began his professional journey working with Michael Abels’ music team. Over the years, he has studied with acclaimed artists such as Kenny Barron, Aaron Parks, Fred Hersch, and Billy Childs. In April 2023, Sergio released his debut album Atlántida, a project that fuses Galician folk music with flamenco, jazz, world music, and classical and contemporary music elements. One of the main features of the album is its cultural diversity, featuring musicians from Spain, the United States, the Dominican Republic, Bulgaria, Colombia, Japan, Cuba, and Brazil, each bringing their unique essence to create a distinctive, multicultural sound.
